Mortgage Securitization

The Mortgage Securitization Council (MSC) is made up of portfolio managers, research analyst, and operations professionals whose practice involves securitization of assets.  The Council has primarily focused on issues such as:
  • Advocate for a fiduciary standard for trustees
  • Protect investors from the use of eminent domain to seize underwater mortgages
  • Represent the interests of the investor in settlements with mortgages
  • Jumpstart the private label market
  • Advocate for assignee liability and representing investors in the commercial mortgage-backed securities market.
The MSC has testified before Congress; met with policymakers and provided leadership on issues critical to the investor community.
