Market Practices

The Market Practices Council (MPC) is a peer-to-peer organization of professionals who are primarily focused on the operational issues facing institutional investors.  The MPC holds regular meetings that connect professionals of mutual funds, pension funds and insurance firms with service providers that provide the public with recommendations for upgrades, downgrades, target prices and other opinions on the public market. 
 
The Council has been a thought leader on such issues as:
 
  • Margining of MBS fails
  • Address industry changes such as shortening the settlement cycle
  • Implementation of EMIR obligations and On-boarding of SEFs
  • DOL/Fiduciary responsibility
  • FINRA Rule 4210 Amendment
  • Global margin rules
  • DTCC updates
  • SEC business’s continuity rule proposal
